Like many enterprise WiFi solutions, TP-Link Omada allows users to configure a captive portal, which can be used to authenticate users to wireless networks, useful in cafés, hotels and other public places.
The process with Omada, is very similar to UniFi. Simply make a new WiFi network, turn on the guest portal mode then proceed to make the portal and then assign it to that SSID. Omada even supports multiple captive portals to be in use at the same time.
First, log into Omada and click on 'Settings'

Next, we need to create a new guest SSID.
Click on 'Wireless Networks'

Then. click on 'Create Wireless Network'

In this section, choose a name for the SSID and tick the box for 'Guest Network' - also decide if you want a WPA password or not, typically with guest networks with portals, the password (if one gets used) is handled with the portal
Once done, click 'Apply'

Next, select 'Authentication', then 'Portal'

Now, click on 'Create New Portal'

Next, name and enable the portal

Now, pick the SSID the guest portal should be attached too

Finally, customise the portal with images, text and advertisements. Once done, click Apply

You can test the guest portal works by connecting a smartphone to the network. On iOS at least, the portal pops up very quickly and you can then click 'Log In'

While it loads, there is a handy countdown timer to let the user know it is doing something
