Features for business

What is a UniFi AP?

A UniFi AP is a product Ubiquiti has been making for pretty much ten years, after being introduced in 2013. All UniFi AP models are powered via PoE, either 24v, 802.3af, 802.3at or 802.3bt.

Ubiquiti has many models on offer, ranging from smaller In-Wall units, all the way up to dedicated stadium class units, such as the BaseStation XG. Some versions, such as the U6-Lite and nanoHD are compatible with skins, to change the aesthetics to help it blend in better in certain environments such as high end restaurants or museums.

Features for business

UniFi Access Points offer improved flexibility and a larger feature set for businesses. For example, the UniFi Controller can be hosted with HostiFi and supports captive portals, data caps, charging for WiFi access and much more.

HostiFi

HostiFi provides hosting for Ubiquiti hardware and software, with servers for UniFi and UISP as well as professional network services with HostiFi Pro.
