UXG gateway devices will have a default username and password combination which can be used when the device is either brand new or has been reset back to factory settings. If you are looking to adopt a UXG to HostiFi or any other cloud hosted UniFi platform, these are the credentials you'll need to use if you want to log in via SSH.

This will apply to the UXG Lite, UXG Max, UXG Fiber, UXG Pro and UXG Enterprise.

What credentials do I use for UniFi UXG devices?

For UniFi UXGs, the default username and password will be:

Username: root
Password:
ubnt

Or it can be:

Username: root
Password:
ui

Once adopted into the UniFi Controller, it'll then take the credentials from the UniFi Controller, which can be found under Settings>System>Advanced>Device Authentication.
