What is new with UniFi Network 10.2?
UniFi Network 10.2 was just launched, so what is new?
March 27, 2026

Ubiquiti launched its first range of UniFi Protect cameras quite some time ago, initially with the G3 and G4 series. The Viewport was first introduced with the G3 Pro and offered the ability to natively view UniFi Protect feeds without needing a separate login or NVR, but directly from the cameras feed.

The Viewport has since evolved into its own product, a dedicated hardware device for displaying UniFi Protect feeds on a TV or monitor.
The UniFi Protect Viewport supports a maximum of two displays with the two HDMI ports on the back. With just one display it can output in 4K resolution at 30fps. With a second display connected, the maximum resolution drops to 1080p at 30fps.
The UniFi Protect Viewport can support multiple camera feeds at the same time, with a maximum of 16 in a 4x4 grid. However, the resolution per camera and the codec used will be important factors to consider.
In terms of Live View, a few factors affect what the Viewport can support. The Viewport can support a maximum of 16 cameras in 1080p if using h264 in Live View mode, or it can support 8 cameras in 1080p if using h265 instead.
