This week, Ubiquti released new firmware for the EdgeSwitch X line and the UISP Switch models to now allow access to the command line interface (CLI) from theUISP application. Version 1.5.0 of both strings of firmware were made available on Wednesday and can be installed now. You do need to be running UISP 1.4.7 or later, however. We did release a blog post when this version debuted and showed off the CLI feature then.

These versions also address some issues with the LED not working after sometime, as well as some security issues related to OpenSSL and zlib libraries.

CLI feature

If you have remote devices but cannot get SSH access to them easily, then just like within UniFi - Ubiquiti has added support for a terminal (remote shell).
