How to export a UniFi Controller to CSV

To get started, sign up or log into an account and go to Integrations, then to Device Export Tool.

If you are an existing HostiFi customer, select one of your UniFi or UISP servers from the drop down, otherwise click on Create Connection.

Next, enter in the label, hostname and username. Make sure that the UniFi Controller is accessible to the wider internet.

Once done, it'll auto-populate the label, https:// and port numbers. Check everything looks good, then click Save.

Now, go back to Integrations, then to Device Export Tool and click on Create Export.

Click on the server in the drop down menu, then enter in the admin password. Once done, click Save.

Once done, the Export tool will go ahead and download the data from the server. This process can take a few minutes.

In here, you can view device MAC addresses, site names and more. To download the CSV file version of the export, click on Actions, then Download.

Things to remember

If the export fails and mentions needing 2FA to be disabled, this is normal. The HostiFi Device Export Tool doesn't support 2FA accounts. To maintain some privacy without sharing your entire admin account, you can make a read only account for the Device Export Tool and delete it afterwards.
