Ubiquiti announces new UniFi OS Server

Ubiquiti launches new UniFi OS Server software platform

Ubiquiti UniFi OS Server

Ubiquiti has, for a number of years had two different options for hosting your UniFi network. You could either use a self-hosted controller, or use Ubiquiti's own cloud hosting service, UniFi Cloud.

However, Ubiquiti has recently announced a brand new product called UniFi OS Server, which is a ground-up, completely redesigned version of the UniFi Network software, designed to be self-hosted on your own hardware.

UniFi OS Server is different to the current UniFi Network application because it implements the full UniFi OS which is the operating system found on UniFi consoles like the Dream Machine Pro. This means it can run alongside other UniFi applications, like UniFi Protect and UniFi Talk.

It also comes with a completely redesigned web interface, which is more modern and easier to use.

It also supports a multi-admin setup, where you can have multiple admins with different levels of access.

At the moment, UniFi OS Server is only available through Ubiquiti's beta program, Early Access Program and will likely be available to download and run as an official general release pretty soon.
