Ubiquiti released UniFi Switch 7.2.120 to General Access (GA) a few days ago, and due to a subset of reported issues it has now removed the update from GA and demoted it down to RC. This means that for those users who have already updated to 7.2.120, the UniFi Network Application is prompting another 'upgrade' to downgrade to the previous version.

If sites have had auto-updates enabled and switches on those sites have not yet updated, they won't update now because Ubiquiti has removed 7.2.120 from being available outside of Release Candidate or Early Access.
Nothing will update automatically until Ubiquiti pushes another GA release.
Going forward, it is best practice to keep all of your devices up to date, mainly for security reasons. However, from time to time - there can be these rare issues so it is best to hold off a major update like 7.2.120 for at least a week to see if any issues have occurred for other users. This can be achieved by disabling auto-updates and conducting updates manually.
If you are having issues with 7.2.120, report them to Ubiquiti first via the community and if necessary, downgrade to the last GA version.
HostiFi provides hosting for both Ubiquiti and TP-Link software-defined-networking (SDN) applications, with servers for UniFi, UISP and Omada. We also offer network consulting, with HostiFi Professional Services.
