Ubiquiti has today launched three new UniFi Protect PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) cameras, with the G5 PTZ, G5 PTZ Pro and G5 PTZ Turret. These three models will be the first PTZ cameras that Ubiquiti has launched that are compatible with the latest versions of UniFi Protect.

The G5 PTZ is Ubiquiti's first outdoor PTZ camera. The camera can pan 355 degrees and tilt 90 degrees. The camera has 42x optical zoom and can operate up to 50m away in full colour and 200m in infrared night vision mode. It has an IP55 weatherproofing rating and is available in white or black.

The G5 PTZ Pro is a more advanced version of the G5 PTZ, with a larger form factor. Both cameras share the same 4K resolution and can pan and tilt in the same way. The G5 PTZ Pro has a slightly longer range in colour mode, at 60m, vs 50m for the standard G5 PTZ.

The G5 PTZ Turret is perhaps the most interesting of the three, as it offers true 360 degree pan and can be used indoors or outdoors. Unlike the other PTZ cameras from Ubiquiti before, this is a smaller form factor and more discreet.

The G5 PTZ and G5 PTZ Pro are both available now from the official Ubiquiti store. The G5 PTZ is priced at $599 and the G5 PTZ Pro is $899 in the US.
