In the last few weeks, our development team has rolled out the latest version of UniFi Network to our servers, with version 8.3.32. This follows on from 8.1.113 which we rolled out in April.

As always, our team always works hard to vet the update releases, and skip any versions that have issues or bugs. Customers can now choose a schedule for when updates on UniFi and UISP are carried out.

UniFi Network 8.3.32

Between 8.1.113 and 8.3.32 was 8.1.127 and 8.2.93. 8.1.127 added improved firewall rules, OSPF support for IPsec Site-to-Site VPNs and a number of bug fixes and improvements. 8.2.93 added DNS records, BGP and MLO for WiFi 7 APs.

These are the most notable features added since 8.1.113 in more detail:

• DNS Records - Local DNS records can now be added and resolved by internal devices. Support for A, AAAA, MX, TXT, and SRV is available now, but Ubiquit says CNAME, NXDOMAIN and PTR is coming soon.
• Improved Inspection - Improved logging is now here for dialling back to see what has happened on the network. This includes Ad Blocking, Firewall Rules, and Traffic Rules and allows you to see what rules affected what.
• Multi-Link Operation (MLO) - This is a new feature of WiFi 7 and allows devices to use multiple frequency bands for uplink and downlink. This can be especially beneficial in noisy wireless environments.
