What's new with UniFi 9.4.19?

This release adds a few new features:

  • Master Policy Table
  • Improved support for IPv6
  • Updated Dashboard with more stats

The full release notes for UniFi 9.4.19 can be found here on the Ubiquiti Community.

Object Oriented Networking

Object Oriented Networking in UniFi Network 9.4.19 lets you set all kinds of different rules to certain clients, client groups or networks and then easily apply secure, route or QoS rules depending on what you want to do.

For instance, you might want to block Instagram access to all guest devices, and send them via a secondary WAN and then also apply speed limit rules to them. This new view allows all of those rules within one page.

Ubiquiti says for this to work, you need every device in the network to be UniFi (Gateway, Switches and Access Points) as well as having the new Zone Based Firewall active.

Master Policy Table

Continuing in that same idea as the Object Oriented Networking, the Master Policy Table in 9.4.19 also lets you set multiple rules from one single screen, including Firewall, ACL, DNS, NAT, QoS, Routing, and Port Forwarding.

Other Improvements

Elsewhere within 9.4.19, Ubiquiti has significantly improved the support for IPv6 with new IPv6 NAT66 rules, DHCPv6 client options for WAN and much more. For routing, Destination NAT gains support for Source and Destination Networks.

HostiFi

HostiFi provides hosting for both Ubiquiti and TP-Link software-defined-networking (SDN) applications, with servers for UniFi, UISP and Omada. We also offer network consulting, with HostiFi Professional Services.
